orang kate orang melayu ni kaye dengan adat, dan budi bahasa. on the contrary, i find it otherwise.some even say that, our poteliteness, our sense of manners and our behavior is so regulated it acts like a barrier for us to excel better in the world. kita terlalu tertutup, minda terlalu regulated, terlalu terkawal untuk menyuarakan pendapat yang sebenar, yang perlu untuk memperbaiki kelemahan masing2.
oh, terutamanya wanita melayu. kan wanita melayu bersopan santun, berbudi bahasa, pemalu dan what do they always say to these people...ah.. wanita melayu terakhir!
dont get me wrong.aku sanjung sangat2 budi bahasa melayu. inilah trait kita, inilah yang membezakan melayu di mata dunia.
but alas! what i see today is totally different and some people JUST. DONT. KNOW. MANNERS. what a waste.
its a shame. really. kalau jumpe depan2 punye lah baik.cakap pon berlapik. kalau belakang, pakai handphone, masked by that telephone, sms punye lah lebat!
cube ckp depan? kalau berani? kalau professional? siape lah wanita terunggul itu?
mane budaya kita? mane wanita melayu kita?
kalau sms pon x tau manners.yes u can be direct but sometimes, anta tu seolah2 ur EXPECTING the other person to do as you say.i'd say.it there is one thing i learned from asiaworks, being enrolling is very important. and you, dear people who are lacking of manners, are not very enrolling. trust me, it's gonna cause some trouble when you approach the elder people.call me old-fashioned but i believe in malay traditions and being polite and all. but i also believe that at the same time we still can be firm and direct.
history have showed us amazing and incredible people who are at the same time religious, and passionate. it doesnt clash does it? being firm and polite at the same time.
i know a few women who are truly amazing, and they are the very epitope of malay women. they are polite but firm. they are beautiful but they dont show or dress excessively. they are smart and they help others around. yes they do lose their tempers sometimes but they are not afraid to apologize. more than anything, they respect and love their parents and families. they have priorities in life and fight for their passion. they say what they mean. and sometimes, although the words that come out might hurt some people, it is for the better.
