That link above leads to a video starring Jeremy Lim. Its about giving to others, in terms of basketball. (Lama x sembang basketball ni)
I lost a bit of my passion to ball because of my injuries. I need to rest. People tell me to and I know that if I'm going to play in the future, I'll need to. Then, the players now, are not as interesting as there was during my last 3 years. My favorites are, Fakhri, Abah.
Basically this post are about them. These 2 people.
Now I know I said bad stuff about male basketball players from my previous post (OTL) but these are among the exceptions to my last story.
These 2 people, off court are... haha funny. Gatal. Suka mengorat. (I mean anyone) Don't really like to study.
- Abah (His real name is Afieq) watches korea. Tak makan sayur. Scary (sebab dia abah) and if u go out with him without any purpose, big chances are you're gonna piss him off. He's somewhat secretive and he smokes.
- Fakhri Itey (hitam). Haha. But he is. He is stingy, he likes to nag, he pays attention to details, so much that sometimes seluar berkedut pun dia perasan AND he is critical. He criticizes almost everything he sees. He's harsh if you can't handle him. And he is an eating-monster.
I'm just jotting down these points to see if I still remember them clearly. It's been almost a year since we played together on the court and I'm just putting all the negativity so that it can balance what I'm about to say next.
On court, they are great players. The best to me in fact. There was one time when we played 3 on 3 and they got into a team together, they played from 5.30-6.30 non stop cuz they kept on winning. Like, a winning streak and they only gave up because they wanted to give a chance to others to play.
Both were humble. But played good game. For an instance, when you play a game with them, it's almost like your game stepped up. They gave you a chance to participate. Told you what to do. Fakhri in particular (because I spent more time with him) always see a potential in his playmates. With us. Always challenged us in his way. People who didn't know him might think of him as an ass but in reality, saw us as something bigger. Abah taught me and Fieq things a father would. How to move in a game, with and without a ball. They were our coaches.
Sometimes us girls (Fieq, aku dan Anty) can't join playing with the guys because the men see us only as... Girls. And Girls can't play. That's what they pictured in their mind. Fakhri and Abah never kept us out of a game. I think, they are the epitome of what they believed in, (if it is true) that everyone can play. On weekends, they would be on court in the mornings. Sometimes as early as 7. played with us, taught us things, never making it easy on us. Haha.. Those were the days. Weekends means puking hours. Because we played so hard.
It's just something to remember them by. Great players
